Coquihalla Pass Resort
Excutive Summary:
Westscapes Development Inc. proposes to develop a new all season resort in the North Cascade Mountains of British Columbia’s
southern interior referred to as the Coquihalla Pass Resort (CPR). Cascade Environmental Resource Group Ltd. (CERG)
was retained by Westscapes Development Inc. in 2004 to provide environmental consulting services in support of the project. CERG prepared
a Preliminary Environmental Assessment (PEA) of the site for the purpose of determining the environmental attributes and to assist
the resort planners with siting of various resort program components and related infrastructure.
The primary objective of conducting the PEA is to inventory existing conditions, identify environmental issues and attributes associated
with the subject lands, and further, to identify opportunities and constraints for development and operation of the proposed mountain resort.
